Question Suburban water heater in Grey Wolf 28BH TT

My suburban water heater which has the bypass kit is located at the far end of my front storage compartment. I can access it by lifting the queen bed, removing a wooden panel and reaching in to turn the valves of the bypass kit; or I could crawl on my stomach down the space in the storage compartment. I would prefer to reach in through the storage compartment with a tool on a long rod which would allow me to turn the valves.
Can anyone suggest a design for such an improvised tool that I could make out of wood (preferably) or a simple metal design?

A picture of the valves and the length you need to reach would be helpful.

And why you be mad at the chebby?

perhaps.

Hi Ford Idaho. That rod looks perfect. What is it and where can I get one? I can attach it to a wooden pole if necessary to extend the length.

It is a sprinkler valve tool.

Lewis Lifetime Tools 30 inch Sprinkler Valve Key SK-21

It is 30 inches long as per the site.

I imagine you could get on at Lowes or Home Depot perhaps an Ace Hardware store.

Found one of 5 foot length from Orbit.

Awesome Ford Idaho. Thanks so much.
Oh I'm not mad at the "chebby". Just threw on a silly icon.

A 1 inch PVC pipe (available at home stores in 24 inch lengths) can be notched with a hack saw to fit your handles.

Thanks Herk7769. I'm going to start with notching a 7 ft. length of 2x4 with a turn handle and see how that works. Thanks so much for the advice.
Happy camping!!
