Tank Flush Connection

Recently bought a 2010 Coachmen Prism with no manual.
What does this Tank Flush Connection do?
I was actually looking into sanitizing the fresh water system.

The tank flush does just that to your black water tank after you empty it.

Drain black tank then the gray, then you can flush the black to remove a little more stuff from inside.

It is designed to help you keep the black tank clean. After dumping the black tank, connect city water hose to this connection and add water... as much it takes and and as many times as it takes... dumping between "fills". Obviously, make sure you don't run the black tank over!

To be able so see how clean the water is (If you don't have one), you should get a clear elbow so you can see how clean the water is as you dump the black tank. It connects to the RV dump or sewer connection and the sewer hose.

Leave several gallons in the black tank after its clean.

I would not use the same hose for that.

I carry a second hose to keep cross contamination to a minimum along with a bottle of bleach.

The tank flushes for rv's is used as an extra means to flush out the black water holding tank. After pulling the blank tank lever and letting all the waste out connect a hose to this fitting and use it to flush out the black water holding tank some more. I believe there are nozzles (maybe only one) in the tank that is connected to the black tank flush connection that sprays water inside the tank. Make sure your clean out valve is open so that the water doesn't back up and come back up the toilet when using it.

I don't use the sanitary hose anywhere near the sewer for flushing or cleaning the sewer hose. But, you use city water to flush it, that was my point. I also don't like to use the hose provided at the dump stations and always wear gloves while there.

I also do not have a grey tank valve open at the same time as the black tank drain valve is open.
