Tank Sensor Margins

Just a quick question about tanks and the built in sensor margins. Is there an industry standard concerning the amount of margin remaining when the 4th red light comes on.

Thanks

Be thankful if they work at all. I've got to pull my panel off and see if somethings obviously wrong...all of my tanks suddenly went to FULL even though I know they're practically empty. To answer the question, no standard even from identical unit to unit. Depends on where the sensors were mounted that day from what I can tell. It's just one of those things you have to just get a feel for.

"Full" is never at the top of the tank. Here are the sensors on my front gray tank (40 gallons). That top "Full" sensor is about 80% from the top of the tank so I have another 8-10 gallons or so to go, plus the piping, until it backs up into the shower.

My rear black tank is basically identical.
