With a gloved hand, push down on the black gasket seal around the stopper to try and re seat the gasket. It may be necessary to use hot water to soften the rubber and let it sit for a little bit while the water cools before trying to push down on the gasket. Some people have used spray Pam grease to lube and help seal it.
