toilet filling

2010 FR Flagstaff 8528 BHSS. Second time this has happenned during the night. Waking up to find my toilet bowl is over full and spilling (dribbling). I want to blame it on fresh water overpressure. Is thier anything to be done to the toilet its self? Thank God for honey wagons.

Had the same thing happen and it is caused by a small pc of debris in the toilet flush valve. You will have to remove the valve and clean it or if it is damaged, replace it.

Sounds like a leaking valve in the toilet, if that is the only problem. Since the toilet is the low point, and sand or trash will go there before it climbs up to a sink or shower. Might remove the line from the toilet and try to flush good, and or replace the valve. They are fairly easy to replace. If you will post brand and model of toilet, maybe we can find a manual, with parts breakdown. Could also search the internet for one.
