Toilet issue

New 8528 Ikws 5th. Toilet won t hold water. Tried several of the suggestions short of replacing gasket. Water slowly drains out of bowl 🤷*♂️

Put a rubber glove on (or not) and pinch the gasket between your thumb and forefinger, then wipe it off without taking it off.

Take it off and clean it, reinstall with Vaseline or replace it. Not a lot of options. Good luck.

Need to always keep it moist...even when in storage!

I live in Yuma, AZ where I don't need to winterize the 5'ver, but I do keep RV antifreeze around just to fill the p-traps and to keep in the toilet as the pink stuff evaporates very slowly...unlike water, which will evaporate in a matter of days.

I go out at least once a month to check.

When I lived in the desert I just emptied the toilet bowl, sprayed the gasket (ball seal) with dry silicone and done with it. No issues.

Ronrox18 have to do same with our toilet every once in a while, seems to get gunk on seal then needs a good cleaning. Occasionally the plastic ball has gunk and needs cleaned. Just one of those things.

I smear on a little vasoline on mine (Toilet Seal) every fall when I winterize. In the spring...the pink stuff is still there.
