Toilet paper piling up

Not sure why, not using enough flush water maybe? Seems to collect at bottom of tank and work back up pipe. There is about 3 to 3 1/2 inches between what appears to be the bottom of the tank and bottom of vertical pipe from toilet, unless it is the bottom of a 90 and horizontal pipe to the tank.

I was having the same problem. What I do is fill the bowl after #2 and then flush. It eliminated the problem.

Of course maybe we could just use big balls like the Parisians do.

Honestly, it makes me throw up in my mouth a little but some people don't flush the paper to avoid problems like this.

That’s actually fairly common practice around the world. I’ve seen that in a number of countries. Also in Hemingway’s house in Cuba.

FWIW, the waste and FW tanks on a trailer are long skinny tanks. Only about 4 inches deep, 3 feet wide and 6 feet long. So what you are seeing is probably sitting on the tank bottom. Paper won't move around much until you move the trailer. Just keep enough water in the tank to keep the paper from drying out... I recommend using some Calgon or Borax as a wetting agent.

Put at least two bowls full of water in the tank AFTER you dump it. Alway fill the bowl just like it is at home befor you go.

If you are on a full hookup site be sure you keep the black tank closed until it nears full. This let's water stay in the tank to dissolve the contents. If you leave the dump valve open it will pile up quickly.

Depending on how full the black tank is, you may want to invest in a box of RID-X. Add a 1/4 cup and add a couple gallons of water. In 24hrs the RID-X enzymes will start dissolving the solids.

Traveling with a 2/3 full blackwater tank with enzyme packets helped to clear mine out. Ice cubes might also help while traveling.

We had used Costco septic tank paper. Far too thick. I bought a case of rv paper from Amazon. Flushes better!

Yes, more water. Often we save dishwater and pour it down the hatch. Good and soapy.

Another option is a hose down the toilet. Be careful. Not you drinking water hose.

Your the first person I've heard complain about Costco toilet paper. Many forum members use it without problems. We use either Costco or Scott's at home and the RV, never a problem with either. BTW, our TT has not moved since we bought it in 2013.

We add a small amount of Calgon solution plus liquid soap to the tank.
And as already written, keep the value shut and use lots of water.

We had issues using Costco paper. It is substantially thicker and wider. That is for sure, I measured.

We were at a COE campground and I opened the black water valve and little came out, quarts. I flushed a while. There was a line so I felt obliged not to repeatedly flush.

After 500 miles of traveling the flushing improved. Happened a second time.

The Scott product was not substantially more expensive from Amazon. They sent mine from Walmart.

Seems to break down better. I see no large pieces in the effluent. My valv works better.

I have enough for next year.

Might be my imagination. Who knows.

Perhaps there is not enough slope in my tank. We use Costco paper at home. Great stuff. I put Dawn and Calgon in my toilet. Plus enzyme tablets.
