toilet wont fill

I have a forest river surveyor 240rbs it has a thetford toilet and you are supposed to be able to push lever half way and it will fill with water but it just goes through and wont fill is there an adjustment or is it a seal? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well looks like you have some "stuff" stuck on the seal. Take a toothbrush (not yours, use your wifes) and scrub the seal to remove the "stuff". Rinse, and repeat, that should do the trick.

I have a Dometic and and I have to be easy when I press down to fill with water. There is a fine line before the flush ball opens and the water drains. Try pushing down very slowly and see if you get to a point that water flows in and the flush ball is still closed.

If after you get water in the tank it drains out the. You have a seal problem at the flush ball...

For some reason my DW did not find that as funny as I did.. must be because I'm the plumber.
