I don't cherish the idea of having to take the toilet apart every couple of months and grease it with plumbers grease or reach down in there and apply Vaseline to the rubber gasket. Again, I love my new real household flush toilet.
No chance of that happening, I live in my RV full time in a non-freeze climate, plus I have 6 Zircon water detectors located throughout my rig at potential water leak locations, including behind the toilet. Also I have a lever action ball valve I turn off the water when I leave for any extended period of time.

Don't take ours apart
just reach down there with a little plumbers greese (and apply)
gloves work fine
makes that thing a non leaking slick worker (also will last longer)

Some problems I see with a "real toilet" are the tank freezing, and the stopper leaking and letting the black water tank overfill.
Putting on a latex glove and applying some Vaseline is not a big deal! Takes less than 30 seconds.
Just a word of caution. If you read up on putting vasaline on certain rubbers, the articles tend to say it could deteriorate some types of rubber or gasket materials. Just sayin'
Yes, Vaseline can hurt some types of rubber products. I have not had any problems to date. Plumbers grease is the best option. As far as the gloves go, I keep a box of disposable gloves in the RV for just such a task and for working with sewer connections.
