Tub surround

Should I use silicone where the tub and surround meet ?

Go in the bath after dark with a small flashlight. With the bath light out shine the lite at the point where the tub and surround meet on one end of the tub. I'm betting you will notice that the tub has a lip that stands straight up and the surround material sits in front of this lip. So, no caulking is necessary.

Thanks don't have leaks I didn't know if it was needing sealant.

Anyone have an idea how to reattach the shower door on a 240rbs .
It has come louse from the wall
