Two grey water tanks and one drain valve?

Kinda new to RV'ing... I bought a 2007 Rockwood Signature Ultralite 8244S fifth wheel. On the tank level annunciator panel, it has a "galley" tank and a "grey"tank level. I only have one grey water drain valve on the outside. So I'm guessing both drain into a common drain and there is a check valve somewhere keeping the shower from back flowing in the kitchen sink?

Unless the previous owner piped the 2 gray tanks together, you may have only one gray tanks. The factory set-up Rockwood would be a sewer connection for the gray/black tanks and a separate sewer connection for the galley tank. It's not unusual to use the same tank monitoring set-up whether all the tanks are there or not.

Does the galley tank ever register any level when you're using the kitchen sink and does it return to 0 after the gray tank is dumped?

You may need to look a little more for the other valve. Mine has the black and one grey that is close to the tires. The other grey pull handle is two feet from the back bumper.

Even if they both did drain into a common tank the shower drainage would not back up into kitchen sink unless the tank was full.

My guess is you have two waste tanks "black" and "grey"

If you only have one sewer outlet and two pull handles its assured.

Otherwise you'd have two sewer outlets and three pull handles.

Then I would say that you only have 2 waste tanks...1 gray, 1 black. Even the current production 8244WS show only one gray tank.

My Flagstaff has two grey tanks and one handle. They appear to simply be plumbed together and keep even levels.

My '09 Rockwood 2701SS has 2 gray tanks and 1 Black tank with 2 dump valves, one for gray and one for black. The two gray tanks cross feed and I love the setup.

I guess I could still a hose in the kitchen sink. If the "grey" tank starts to fill up and not the "galley", then it means I only have one tank.
