Two water inputs?

Greetings All.

Dumb question, but this is the first time I've seen this. My new Rockwood 5th has two city water inputs? Looks like one goes to water filter, the other bypasses? If so, do I really need to use the filter? Seems like one more thing that would require attention over time...

Are you sure that one is not an antifreeze connection for winterizing?

Could one be the winterizing bypass?

If you could post a pic I'm sure someone would be able to tell you exactly...

I bet if it is a new unit, most are coming with an anti-freeze input next to the normal city water intake.

Depending on model, our 8289ws has 3 inlets, city water- antifreeze inlet- black tank flush, all of which are clearly labled.
