Using bleach in pipes

Someone told me using bleach in the plumbing will destroy the cement used.

Myth or true?

Using bleach is one method of sanitizing fresh water tanks.

All you need is:
Use 1/4-cup of liquid household bleach (sodium hypochlorite) for every
15 gallons of fresh-water tank capacity. It’s easy to mix this in a gallon jug.

Do not use the scented kind!

I doubt the mix will ruin the glue.

Your rig should have ABS piping. Same piping used in many new homes. Tougher duty when used in homes. Don't let the bleach bother you.
