Waste water tanks

I have a Rockwood 8289WS The galley tank is hard to access. The dump release handle pulls toward the right instead of out like the other 2 handles and you have to disconnect the Black/Gray drain hose and reconnect to the galley tank. Does anyone else have an issue or resolution to this?

I can't help with the handle direction. But, for the moving the hoses - I have 2 outputs on my camper and use a wye to bring them together:

Basically, what I have from the camper is 1 hose at each sewer outlet going to the wye and the wye to my 90-degree elbow for the site's sewer connection.
