Water coming out!

We are filling the fresh water tank for the first time on our 2019 Prime Time Crusader 297 RSK. We closed the fresh water tank drain but now water is coming out of the blue pipe underneath the trailer. It doesn’t have a shut off valve.

That's the tank vent (overflow indicator to know when tank is full).

Thanks, Bubbles! Yup, I just went inside and checked the levels, and it says tank is full. That filled up much faster than expected!

Maybe an overflow drain, check your water levels inside. If it’s full, I’m sure you hit the max amount of water storage.

My 5th wheel has a siphon effect and the tank continues to drain even after the overflow level has run off. I had to add a cap on my over flow to stop that once the tank is full and the water is off.

Do you remove the cap when you run the pump?

I pretty much only use full hook ups so bare with me. Once full and the siphoning has started will capping the fresh tank fill and running the pump suck air back into the hose and reverse the siphoning and stop the overflow from running?

That water could be laying in the pipe and vented air is now pushing it out or your tank is not level and the overflow is reached before the full tank indicator is under water.

I have a great photo that indicates this but I am on my phone at a non-internet campground. I will try to add the photo later today.

Maybe someone can repost it as I have used it many times in the past here.
