Water damage - 32ft bh FEMA trailer

Here's a update. I ws caulking today to try to fix this leak. There was a lot of water in the yellow parking light on the front. I caulked that closed. Hoping for the best now.

Ok guys heres the update. The leak was coming from the orange parking light in the front top of the camper. Its fixed now. So then we had to fix the room. I wanted to cover the damage without having to rip out all of the walls. Here's the pics...what do ya think?

Hopefully you got all the mold out though cause mold is some nasty stuff - if you start getting sinus infections and getting sick then you will know it is from the trailer

On a side note - Am curious but did you by chance do an air sampling for mold - I know they sell the kits at Home Depot just for mold since you had so much damage to the trailer?

We ripped out everything that ever got wet. Actually the only mold I found was just the fuzzy nasty stuff that was growing on the surface of the carpet. Once the carpet was up there was no mold in the wood. Just rotten wood. We cut all of that out and removed all of the insulation nd replaced it. I will look into the air quality kit thing though bc I think it's a good idea just to know.

I like the layout of your bedroom.

I have installed a water tank and pump. And used it during deer and turkey season.

I am now ready to install waste tanks. This summer.

I am not sure how to fabricate the mounting frame.

I am thinking 1-2 inch square tubing around the flanges on the tank and bolted to the horizontal part of the I beam. Then strap above and below. The black tank will be under the toilet (switched to a tv toilet) and vented to the existing vent.

I will T the vent to the gray tank as well

I already have a fitting on the existing pipe

Other then the tank fittings I don't think I will need to buy much pipe.

I will be ordering the tanks, toilet and sensors on the next week.

I already have the rinsers.

I connected straight to the blue tank at my hunting camp and hauled it home to dump at a local campground. It's no fun welching the 42 gal tank into the back of a truck.

I want to do some trout fishing and the corps campgrounds frown on direct connect to blue tanks. Spill a little at the farm and it is no big deal. Spill some on fed property, big deal and not fair to the next camper.

quick question, what kind of toilet do you have and how is it plumbed through the floor? Im thinking of getting a house style and getting rid of the tank.

It just take a leak from around a window or bad caulking to create mega big damages over a long period. I had a terry taurus that was showing traces of rotting floor. I removed the side skin over that rotten section and I found that the leak was caused by the lower awning brackets . The damage was so intense between the wall section that I had to replace the 2 by 2's all round the anwing bracket. You did a good job.

It has a normal house toilet. I recomment buying a camper toilet. It fills up ky 30 gallon tank very very fast. It is plumbed jut kike a house but I bought a external holding tank that holds both gray and black water in.

Thanks guys, camped for the first time this past weekend. Love it. Had a little trouble getting the hot water heater to kick on but finally figured it out. Had a blast.
