Need some type of a water filter that will help to filter out smell, does anyone use a special setup for this purpose? The campground that we are staying at has a bad water smell and we were wondering if any filters are better than others and if any filters do indeed work.. thanks
I use a TastePure CX 90. It is a ceramic filter with activated charcoal. It has hose connections on each end, and the filter element can be cleaned or replaced. Bought at camping world. It does cut down on the flow some. Don't know about smell, but I would assume you need a filter with activated charcoal for that.
What smell? Activated carbon is good for removing plastic odors, chlorine odors, and some degree of sulfur. But worthless for ammonia or many petrochemical odors.
not real sure what the smell is, it may be sulfur,,,but anything would be a blessing,,, it isnt city water, the campground has 4 wells and springs on site..I will try and see if the charcoal one can maybe help a bit..
Wouldnt think of drinking it,,,showering is bad enough...
thanks
