Water Flow low inside, 5GPM outside

We moved to a new RV park this week. We have always had great water pressure at all parks including the last. This week we moved to a new RV Resort and hooked up to the city water (Park well). Outside we measure 5 gallons per minute. Inside we are getting .75 GPM. We removed all filters, and now it is 1 GPM. Did we break something during the move? Is the inlet for the city water bad?

We now have the city water and the fresh water pump running and it is normal. We di want to find the cause and fix the city water. Any ideas of what to test, fix, replace?

Thanks for the advice, I took it out too when I removed the filters. There is a pressure back-flow valve in the inlet. I pushed it and flushed it out. Still low pressure.

OK,what was the "PSI" at all the Other C/G and what is the "PSI" at the present C/G? Flow and Pressure give different results! Your NEW C/G may be a LOW Pressure C/G! Youroo!!

Honestly I have never checked the PSI. Never had to in the past, but will get a a PSI gauge today and see. Thanks for the great advice.

Clean all the screens on all the faucets.

It might be that the check valve on the pump has stayed open and you are filling your FW tank instead of the water flowing to your faucets. Check and see if the potable water tank is filling.

After checking everything and all of the recommendations, (for which I am very thankful), We learned from my local water filter company that they have been to this RV Resort in the past due to the same issue. They say while I can have 5GPM, the pressure is low. Tomorrow they are coming out to test the flow, pressure and water condition. I will let everyone know what the numbers are Tuesday evening.

Okay, we have the answer. Turns out there was a Back-flow adapter on the water hookup. Removing it allowed our water pressure to be normal. It is for the 3/4" hose, but the internal opening was really small. We are replacing it with a new larger opening brass adapter. Additionally we are installing a new water filtration and softener system on Friday. Then we will have full pressure, clear and soft water.

So the answer is the "Park" system has Low Pressure! They are saying it is because of the "Backflow Preventer" on the Water supply of the Park! All water supply hydrants at Ohio State Parks have these,and the Pressure is Normal! They are Required by the Health Dept! Thanks for letting us know there is Nothing wrong with your Forest River Unit! Youroo!!

Yes, true, and without the Backflow Preventer the pressure comes back to normal. It is Park rules to have the preventer in place. I am told that the device can also reduce pressure based on the restrictions inside the device. On Friday we will install a new brass device so to be compliant, and at the same time not have a pressure restriction inside.

I too am glad it was not a problem with our FR Sandpiper.
