Water heater

I was able to get the water heater lit (uses propane), but the water never got hot at all. Is there some way of changing the temperature setting?

your trailer was probably winterized and the WH bypass valve is turned on.
ask the previous owner if they did and where you access it.

by the way, there is no temp. adjustment. it's set at a certain temp.

pull the big plug on the bottom of the heater unit.If theres no water than bikendan has the answer.Look inside the camper in the area the water heater is located. There should be valves there to bypass it.

Colette you don't tell us much about what type of trailer you have, but most likely your water heater by-pass valve is open. Here is picture of how it should be if you have a 3 valve arrangement. By-valve in the middle showing closed.

Wolf Pup 16FB water had Heater leak!

Make sure you have bled the air out of hot water supply before you light the water heater...do this by opening ht ehot water faucet after turning on the pump. If you have a Wolf Pup 16FB, the access hole to open/close the hot water heater bypass is located under the mattress on left side of bed toward the read. Mine had about a 5-6" access hole in the bed board to reach the hot water heater bypass valves....also..instruction in your manual.

My hot water heater has small leak in the the plug to left and down from pilot assembly.

Hope this helps...what is your model of Wolf Pup?
