Water heater bypass valve

Hello All!

I have a 2018 forester 3011. I can not seem to find the heater bypass valve. I looked where the water filter is but the only valve I see there is the winterazation tube valve. Can someone please tell me where to look. A picture would be great also.

Thank you!

Look at the back of the water heater, that will be where you will find it.

There should be a removable panel at the back of the heater (inside the MH) to access the bypass valve(s).

Looking here:

https://www.mhsrv.com/2018-forest-ri...-c-tx-i2057297

your water heater appears to be under the fridge. Looking at the inside pics, there's a panel under the fridge. You need to open/remove it. It may be screwed in place.

There are a number of ways they've plumbed the bypass valves. See here to see which you have:

I just went out and found the panel you were talking about. It is located in a panel below the sink and not under the fridge. Thank you for your help!

Another poorly done PDI by a dealer. That is one of many things that should have been covered at the time of taking possession of any RV.

You're right. I mis-calculated from outside to inside. Glad you found it.

You are so correct. There is a ton of things the dealer did not go over with us. I had to find out most of the things on my own

They don't want you to know too much, otherwise you won't need to get them to do it for big $$s
