I have a 2008 Surveyor and I am getting tired of having to remember to go outside and open the water heater door and find that tiny switch to turn on/off the electric water heater.
Anybody moved the water heater electric switch inside?
Wiring diagram?
Location of switch?
Type of switch? (I'd like lighted)

I did, and posted it here with some pictures. Quite easy to do. Do a search for it....

Instead of moving the switch, we just leave the switch outside on, and flip the breaker on and off inside the unit when we want to use the electric water heater.
While this will work, circuit breakers aren't designed to be used as switches and therefore wear out with use. Also, if theirs is like ours, the power panel is as much a pain to get to as the outside switch is.
