Talking Water Heater how to's?

We just purchased a 2014 silverback 33 rl. We were rushed through the demonstration of how to operate the trailer. Thank goodness this isn't our first RV. But the water heater on the 33 rl works differently then prior ones. My hubby is having a hard time figuring out how to operate the water heater electrically and by gas. I told him I would ask this question and I know I will receive the correct answer. Thanking you in advance

If it's the common dual power source Suburban water heater, this FAQ may help:

If it is a suburban.

Gas switch should be inside at your distribution panel.

Electric switch is outside at the water heater inspection panel.

You can run gas only or electric only or both at the same time.

Be very sure water heater tank is full before turning either on.

You can check by opening pressure relief valve at the top of the heater on the outside.

Outside hiden switch.

Thank you for everyone's help. Finally spoke to hubby to find out what exactly the problem was. We do have the Suburban water heater. We were used to our other 5th wheel where the switches were side by side. You could tell when the heater was on because the light was red. So it was confusing to have one switch in one place and the other switch in another place. And no red light. So now with everyone's help, I think we have it figured it out. Thank you again for your help.
