water heater problems

My sister and I have Twin 3008Ws 2012 model and have both had the same problem with our hot water heaters. I have spent about 30 days in ours this year and on the last trip my water heater stopped working in the gas mode. the rocker switch lights up but the red light doesnt come on and the igniter doesnt spark. my sister is in hers this weekend and is experiancing the same failure. anybody else out there have the same problem? The water heater works on power and all of the vales are correct.

I'm confused--- you say the rocker switch lights up but the red light doesn't???
My rocker switch IS red and it lights up only when trying to light.
Not sure what red light you are talking about.

Also a make and model # of your water heater might help.
Finally my water heater won't heat on gas if the electric has been on a while.
If the tank is already hot from electric, the gas won't fire.

When I turn on my gas switch, the switch lights up to show it is on. Then a red light comes on (beside the rocker switch) to show it is trying to ignite. When it ignites the red light goes off. If the red light stays on it has failed to ignite. You need to turn the water heater switch off, then on again to reset it.

Remember, if your water is already hot, gas will NOT come on. The red light will come on when you turn on the water heater gas switch, the red light will come on, then turn off.
