Water Heater Recovery

How long does it take the typical 6 gallon water heater, using both gas & electric, to fully recover from cold to hot?

On initial start up when we go camping (which is technically the same scenario) mine takes about 5-7 minutes. Inlet water temperature would vary the time some.
