Water Hose Entry Elbow

Hello, does anyone use a Water Hose Entry Elbow? I purchased one thinking the product seemed like a good idea. When I opened the package a got a good look at it, the inside diameter gets very small. I am wondering about water flow restriction and limiting gph? any feedback on this would be appreciated.....

I just purchased one as well but have not used it. I would love to hear about experiences with it as well.

Put those suckers in a vice and with a variable speed drill motor and a 3/8 drill bit, ream it out. End of problem.

I've used one for many years. Never had a problem with water flow. it decreases the stress on the fitting of the trailer. Also makes the supply hose snug closer to the trailer.

Been using an elbow for 8 years on 3 different campers with no problems. As Steve7575 said, they do reduce the stress on the city water hookup.

I have been using one for many years, think of this if the hose is connected it still has to make a 90, or a bend, which will restrict the flow as well, an elbow hos less of a restriction and assures adequate flow. 90 degree sweeps are common, actually standard, on fire apparatus because they reduce the friction loss..vs hose crimping.

The elbow also prevents wear on the hose.

I use one all of the time. The friction loss of a somewhat narrowed passage over such a short distance is negligable. And since the metal elbow is smooth, compared to the inside of a rubber hose, it's even less of an impact.

The elbow takes strain off of the connection and the hose. It also keeps the hose close to the side of the TT, minimzing opportunity for someone to brush against it, and damage it.

I use one mainly to keep the hose close to the camper. I also believe that one takes the stress off of the connection of the camper. Mine is a brass type in which the bore is the same all the way through. I have seen some plastic ones in which the bore decreases at the elbow. This is designed to give strength at the elbow, but does reduce water flow to a point although I agree it would be negligible.

I made my own out of Copper. Has a full 3/4" flow and long radius 90. Never used it though as we are always were there are no water hookups?!?!?
