white hose for drinking water only. collapsible pocket type hose for flushing and general spraying and clean up. store the white hose in the utility water compartment, flush hose in storage box with sewer hoses and fittings. do not mix them!

I carry 3 hoses....1 white for fresh water (A 50 footer that replaced my original 25 footer) old 25 footer which I use for flushing...and a 50 foot garden hose for whatever I may need it for.

I stopped using a pocket hose for flushing the tank a couple of weeks ago. The opening is so small that you can't get good volume through it, it's by design, that's why it expands so much when you charge it. The pressure build up is all in the hose, pressure is nice but not much good without volume.

Those pocket hoses are designed somewhat like fire hose. An inner rubber hose which expands with water pressure, and the outer woven fabric which contains the rubber hose expansion. Pocket hoses are known to stretch beyond the limits of the outer jacket then the end of the outer fabric jacket pulls out of the fitting. Been through a couple of them.
