Water in black tank after dumping????

Hi folks, I have a 30 gallon black tank, the other day I filled it to the top, then drained it into my 32 gallon 'Blue Boy'. It came up to near full, probably 2 inches from the top. I still have what appears to be an inch or so in the black tank looking down through the comode. I am fairly level.
Would it be normal to have a little still in the tank?
Thanks in advance!

Look to see exactly where the drain is on the tank. My tank does not drain completely when level. The drain on mine comes out the middle back of the tank. To drain completely, I have to be level side to side with the tongue high.

Look at where the commode drops in to the black tank in relation to the drain (tank on the right - the one with the white turbo flush hose).

If you are not level side to side (tilted to the main dump on my 8526RLWS) there might be some water left under the commode drop (below the white X). I doubt it would be very much though.
