Water Leak Inside

Good Morning,
Our Flagstaff Classic travel trailer (2012) is leaking inside. When the water is turned on there is a leak in the back room coming from under the bunk bed. The floor feels a bit mushy in that part of the room as well. (Maybe it has been leaking for awhile?) It also leaks from wall by the toilet if the water is left on too long. This has never happened before and we don't know where to begin looking for the problem. Does anyone have ideas? We appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. When you say turn the water on are you talking city water or your FW pump? makes a difference in solving the problem.

It's likely just a break in your water line, but it needs to be found and repaired. Start with removing any panels near your wet areas and work your way out from there. If you live in colder regions, it's pretty easy to miss a spigot when you're winterizing that can freeze and crack. Any water fixtures in the areas inside or out?

Yeah, we live in Ohio so the winterizing is probably the issue. The kitchen sink faucet blew when we first camped this summer. So, there are no panels near the wet areas. I think we will need to cut the floor? Seems drastic but we don't know how else to see the issue. Could we see it underneath the camper? If the issue is in another area, not directly near where the leak is I wonder if that would cause the same issue.

Wellp, we figured it out. Kind of embarrassing but good news. All we did was put the regulator on the hose...no more leaks! Thanks for the responses. Now we are off to deal with installing new faucets.

FWIW......I'm not sure why a "Regulator" would "Cure" a leak.....

Ok. New problem. We replaced the kitchen faucet and now it is leaking where the hot water hose attaches. Are there special connectors we should buy? Thanks!

It's under the sink..in a really tough spot to reach. It's where the hot water hose attaches to the sink. We got the cold water attached but it's like the hot water one just does not fit. No matter how many times we try it just leaks...

Did you use Teflon Pipe-Thread Sealant or Teflon Tape?

How badly is it leaking? If only an occasional drip, and you didn't use one of the above, try that. If it is streaming out, one of two things to check:
1. Are you getting the connector on correctly (straight on the threads)? If not, try to line it up better.
2. The threads may be stripped. If so, you'll need ascertain whether it is stripped at the faucet or at the hose connector and replace the offending component.

Past that, without being there or seeing it, it may be pretty hard for us to help out.

I always wanted to use that.

I had a leak last week. My wife left some water in the sink. I had to replace the gaskets in the sink strainers. What a mess.....

Back to OPs leak:
When I replaced the original kitchen faucet. I had to add a pex valves to connect to the new kitchen faucet lines.

I took the plywood deck out to dry the leak.

1. We wondered if the threads were stripped...but it is brand new.
2. We understand that it has to match up perfectly but that seems to be the issue...once we start screwing it on a gap forms and we cannot get rid of it. Feels like we've tried a hundred times.
3. This is the second time we have installed a sink here...it was a challenge the first time due to the space but not this difficult.
Here is a horrible picture, hard to get a good one - the space is ridiculously small.
