Water line repair

We have a 2011 Rockwood Signature Series 5th wheel and have had some rodent damage, water lines and heat ductwork. I have 1/2 Accuflex hose I'm trying to repair. It looks like Rockwood used 1/2 PEX Pinch clamps. The hose OD is 9/16 and the ID of new 1/2 Pinch clamps also appear to be 9/16. It's very hard to put the 1/2 hose in the 1/2 PEX clamps. Should I be using 3/4 PEX clamps?
Thanks

Most likely your hose is measured by the ID and PEX is set to CTS (copper tubing size) which is measured by the OD. I'm not sure 3/4" PEX crimp rings will work, but it's worth a try on a scrap piece. 5/8" PEX crimp rings would probably be a better fit if you can find them.

I wanted to look before I posted. On our unit the Accuflex has silver clamps that are specific to Accuflex. Since I have not had leak from any of this hose in an RV, I asked a friend at CH Reed a company that handles Accuflex how he would make a repair if he could not get the Accuflex coupling tool. His answer was a regular high pressure hose clamp. He said he would use brass fitting, but in the RV they use plastic.
