Used to use a 45psi regulator right @ the campground spigot.
DW hated it because she could not rinse her hair completely.
Our 2010 Sierra has all PEX “cross-linked polyethylene” plumbing.
PEX is rated at something like 150psi.
I replaced the faucets with regular faucets from Lowes.
The Sierra has a whole house filter & water management system with check valves all of which help to reduce the flow/pressure as the water enters the rig.
I know the system is only as strong as your weakest component & some campgrounds have a high pressure the closer you are to the wellhead.
With PEX all the runs are straight PEX so there are no elbows or Ts that can’t easily be reached if I do have a failure.
Older rigs used that gray tubing that is only rated to 45psi. There are numerous failure points with that old tubing.
Older rigs are harder to service with plumping running in hard to reach areas.
Should always use a regulator with an older rig.
