Water Pressure Regulator

Just wanted to let everyone know that I increased the water Pressure from 45 psi Pounds to 60 psi on my 2014 340RK without an Issue... I noticed that my Pex plumbing is rated for 150 psi this winter. The extra Shower Pressure was worth the 38.00 investment. FYI I used a Renator M11-0660R Brass Water Pressure Reducer with Gauge.

I have had 110 psi on my RV for weeks at a time with no issue. Iím not saying you shouldnít keep an eye on your water pressure and keep it at a more reasonable level than 120 psi, but worrying about the difference between 40 psi and 60 psi is really not necessary.

I'll try going up a bit more my next trip.. I thought a 50% increase was a good starting point. I'll probably max out at 80psi though. I'm not worried about the
Pex, just the fittings and fixtures.

It's never the PEX tubing you have to be concerned with at high pressures.

The inexpensive plastic fittings/couplers/elbows/faucets will fail long before you see anything from the PEX.

We experienced low water pressure on our maiden voyage.

Did the usual fire drill trying to find the source. I had used one of those cheap regulators.

Turned out the camp pressure was low. DUH No one warned me of that.

Getting a new regulator with a gauge..

The gauge is an important component to knowing what you are dealing with.

I've been in far more campsites with low pressures than those needing pressure reduction.
