water pump issue

Camping this week....no water hookup, so using the pump. Its acting weird, especially when using bathroom sink. The pump runs really fast, hard to explain, but different than it used to. Anyone else ever hear of this?

Bingo!! DH took it off and there were a fee chunks of gunk in it. Not enough to restrict the flow, but he rinsed it out too, put it back on, and it works great! No rapid pounding. This is the reason this forum is so great. There is bound to be someone who has had the same problem, or read about it. Without your sage advice, we would have made an expensive trip to the dealer. Thanks SO much!
