Water Pump issues
2013 Rockwood, A122bh. I winterized last year, as I did the year before. All systems were working when winterizing.
This spring when dewinterizing the pump seems to "pump" too much air along with a spittle of water and doesn't shut off as there isn't pressure to turn the switch off.
The valves for the HW tank are correct for summer use and the "winterizing valve" is off. I do hear gurgling in the HW tank but it does fill as I drained it and there was about 6gal (which is what it should have)
The thing is I would think there would be a leak somewhere or a sound of air leaking to let me know there's a leak and there is not a drop or sound anywhere.
When taking water from a gallon jug via the hose I use to winterize with antifreeze, the pump works fine. When I put the regular line back on the pump - spittle, spit and air and the pump won't shut off.
Thinking the pump was damaged I did put a new pump in (Shurflo) and same issues.
Could I have an air bubble in the line??
Any ideas?

If you installed a new pump and it still does the same thing, sounds like you might have an air leak in the line to your fresh water tank or your tank is empty. When you winterized, could you have blown apart a connection in the water line? If there was too much pressure pushing out the water, this could have easily happened.

Winterizing (for me) is taking line off pump and attaching another line to the pump & the other end in a jug of antifreeze. Then turn faucets open & pump on. I don't use air pressure.

Did you burp the air out of your water heater while you were filling it?

Shouldn't have any effect on whether the pump will work or not. The pump will automatically fill the tank and the air in the tank will get purged when the hot water is turned on. I purge the air out of the tank just to get a little extra water in the tank and to eliminate the burping with the faucets.

Check what you call the regular line. I bet the "O" ring fell out so you aren't making a complete seal when you thread it back onto the pump. If you look at the threads on hose you use for winterizing you'll see what I mean.

Water pump issues
The "O" ring is in place. I've also let air out of the hot water tank although leaving the hot water valve on does the same thing. But just in case I opened the pressure relief valve.
All this to no avail.

I still suspect the antifreeze valve is open or leaking.

I don't have an antifreeze valve. I unscrew the intake line (which has an "O" ring) and screw on a line that I place in a gallon of antifreeze to "suck" into the water lines (not the HW tank as I turn those valves to winterizing position).

Perhaps I could wrap the threads with teflon tape? To insure no air leakage??

Are you sure you have water in the fw tank? Could it be possible the hose from the tank to the pump has a hole in it or has come loose from the tank? If the pump will pull from a jug, then it has to be something is amiss on the tank side.

Look at my link this was my problem today http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ved-80527.html
The black inlet filter (metal screen) was not screwed on the whole way - felt okay but then I was able to turn it two more times and then I was able to get no air. It looks like its part or the pump but it does screw on or off, they just never screwed in on completely.
