Herk, Only God knows who connected this thing backwards. This was a really old man with Parkinson's so he did what he had to do. It did pump water into fresh water tank and empty it also. The pump looks new so I am sure he connected this backwards and this may be why he went to his daughters to shower and then to nursing home for one year before he passed.

Some things are just unexplainable how that get that way. We have a Dutchmen Classis 39 BHSS we have never had problems with. I would never own another Forest River they are cheaply made.

You would think with all the expertise here someone on the formun could of see the lines were reversed.

Thank you all.

ps. I found these last two post offensive. I Know it is Northern Humor but not now. I am a Yankee also.

What?

1) You will find that FR's product is competitive and of the same quality with other manufacturers in the same weight class and price line.

2) From your comment I can only assume it was you who reversed the pump when you "refurbished" the plumbing. That you knew enough to have installed a check valve in the discharge line seemed to indicate you had some expertise yourself and would have noticed the black molded arrow on the discharge nipple. (hard to see in a web page degraded photo).

"Normal" people troubleshoot failures based on it having worked properly before; and now does not work. Had you stated from the start that the problem occurred after you made changes to the plumbing and pump install we might have focused quicker on your installation and not the pump itself.

3) If you found the previous 2 posts "offensive"; then you are going to truly LOVE this one. "Yankee" or not.
