I wanted to share an issue that is resolved because I couldn't find any related topics or posted content related to this.
On our last trip, we noticed that our water pump would kick on whenever we were using our water system. This occurred while hooked up to city water and with the panel power for the pump off. I gained access to the pump and disconnected one of the electrical leads just to make it stop.
Today I went out to recreate the scenario and, sure enough, with the same set of conditions and power reconnected to the pump, it would cycle on and off whenever any valve was open.
Going through the process of trouble shooting including turning on and off the city supply, I discovered that on the outside plumbing connection center, there is a switch. Since we are coming up on our first winter with this unit, I was unfamiliar that this switch is used to provide pump power control while pumping antifreeze in to the unit from outside. Somehow this switch was inadvertently turned on.
In the picture, it is the switch on the top left of the panel. It is even labeled "pump switch" but these raised letters were harder to see than in the picture, especially with aging eyes and through sunglasses.
I have checked the pump with the fresh water tank supply to make sure the pump had not lost prime. Thankfully, the pumps works like it should now.
I hope this post finds its way to someone who makes the same goofy mistake!
