Water pumps

Unhooked this morning and noticed the water pump not working. No noise and water tank is filled. Any suggestions on troubleshooting the problem? Thank you

Have you checked the fuse at the water pump?

First time using this year? Could be the valve is still open for sucking up anti-freeze?

Also if there is air in the hw tank or lines the pump may run but you won't hear it.

Wasn't sure where the fuse was. So it's by the pump? And we have used it since
it was winterized.

RBR are my initials. I have probably been using that a lot longer than you have! LOL!

Yes there should be a blade fuse right next to pump in a fuse holder.

Max amps for the average shurflo pump is about 7amps so a ten should be fine .
See if it happens again and let me know.

Similar problem 10amp water pump blowing. Trying to find out reason for fuse blowing. Removed pump inlet filter but no debris. Checked pump outlet hose no blockage. Their is kink in hose from fresh water tank but this was there since new 2011. I wonder if any filter at end of pipe in fresh water tank? FW hose is epoxied in place so might be hard to replace (would cure kink issue). Any other ideas to fix this issue?
Thanks

Pump is bad, or impeller is stuck. either way pump has to come out. and be inpected or replaced.

Might want to check wiring also, cause a short will cause the same symptoms.
