Water Pur FR1 leaked, any damage?

The kids are living in our trailer while they look for a house. On two different occasions, the water filter undid itself and leaked a fair amount of water on to the floor of our WS2703. I have since removed the filter. My concern now is, what kind of damage did the water do to the floor of the trailer? We dried it but without tearing up the carpet and vinyl, how do I know if there is going to be a problem with rot?

I'm not trying to be snarky... but...
We didn't see the damage nor the mess... we can only guess.

I could say... "oh, no problem"
The next poster could say... "your floor is rotten."

Who would be more correct?

X2 with 5picker, you could rent a floor humidity checker and see where the under floor is at in terms of being damp

well I would certainly run a small fan on the area to dry it out throughly...

can you look at the underside where this happened?

on my Shamrock the filter is hidden and water could sit and soak for weeks without being noticed, which is why I removed the filter housing before I even used it...

Nah. I get what you're saying. The underside of the trailer has a plastic cover that would need to be removed. I'm just hoping they didn't use particle board for the flooring. Luckily the times it failed were during 100 degree days and fans were put on the carpet. Just curious if others have looked into it.

Hopefully you dried it quickly and no further problems arise.
I'll advise to remove the filter/housing completely as many of us have done and use it outside at the hydrant.
If it leaks again, it won't cause you concern about damage to your rig.

Doubt it would be particle board. Would either be plywood or OSB (oriented strand board). You should also check the bases of any cabinets coming in contact with the water.

If the carpet is not saturated, fans will help dry it. If there is saturation, a wet/dry shop vac. will suck most of the water out of a carpet. If the moisture is equivalent to washing carpets with a machine, you should have no permanent damage.
