Yes!
Do the whole bloody system, low point drain outside shower even the kitchen spray hose if separate from the faucet.
Let the water/bleach sit in the lines for 14-24 hours then drain it all out.
Flush EVERYTHING at least twice.

We found Peroxide to be the best disinfectant when put in the sink drain at night, let it sit there till morning and this will kill all the bacteria that has accumulated.
Also good to do this to all your sink drains when you have fruit flies in the house as they breed in the drains.

Does your bathroom sink drain have a P trap ???
Could your bathroom sink drain be working as a vent for the Gray tank ???
Are your Roof vents clear ???
Guess that might be a different smell hey ???

Water stinks in bathroom sink only
Thanks for all the tips! Dieselguy nailed it. I flushed the washer line and the smell disappeared. You mentioned capping it - like you I have no intention of putting in a wash machine. I would like to cap it as you suggest but I don't see, or can't figure out how to do that under the sink. I have a red and a blue line going to the taps and then a red line that come up from the floor and basically makes a u-turn through some short of valve and goes back under the floor. I suspect this may be the air admittance value fonzie talked about. Should I be looking to cap it at the back of the source i.e. control panel outside? I have a Sandpiper. Thanks again!

The u- turn valve is a nonreturnable vac breaker for water flush to the black holing tank. Since the washer drain pipe size 1 1/2", probably the only open sect needs to be capped, it's non pressure fitting and easy to seal up.

This was it for us. I finally got around to sanitizing everything and boy howdy, when we ran the hot water in the W/D hookups, it was almost bad enough to make you puke! My poor wife had her head in the closet filling a bucket with water.
I don't think I'll cap the lines, but do think I'll install ball valves to turn off those lines in case I ever install a W/D.

Ball valves is a great idea.

Thanks for the idea..

I might finally breakdown and get the shark bite fitting tool or whatever it is that is needed for them. Supposedly, they're super easy to use.
