Water System questions
Hi, we just purchased a 2012 Salem Sub Zero and can not locate the water pump. Can someone let us know where it is located? We also ran into a problem while filling our water tank. Until we placed a shut off valve on the 2 pipes near the blank tank valve the water was draining out as quick as it went in. Are these low point drains, overflows, or ? Thank you for helping to educate two newbies.

We think you really meant the 'black tank valve.' Shut offs are nice but not entirely necessary.

Very likely. As to the location of your water pump: Switch on the pump, turn on a tap/faucet and follow the noise. It won't take long to determine which panel it's buried behind.
And BTW... to the forum!

I don't think I've ever ever seen anyone on this Forum, that's owned a Sub Zero trailer.
Is that one of those ice fishing models?

Thank you for answering so quickly!
We can't even find a switch for the water pump. Every switch we've found is labeled but none say water pump. Is it possible this this particular model is all gravity fed? Our water tank has an 85 gallon capacity.

Its an oil field model
Hi, I hope there is another owner of a Sub Zero out there . It was designed for oil or gas field workers in ND I think. The insulation is amazing.

Do you get water from faucets and/or toilet when not connected to an external supply line? If so, do you hear a pump running? If so, open a faucet, and follow the noise -- it will surely lead you to your pump. I would guess that your access panel will be on or next to a lav, sink, toilet, or shower, and the panel will be on the INSIDE of the rig.
By the way, I saw a question about whether it could be "gravity fed". The only way that would be physically possible is if the supply tank is located ABOVE the highest faucet. Unless your tank is on the ROOF, that seems unlikely.

Some sub zero' have tanks and some don't. You may have low point drains only and they should either have a plug in them or a valve.
