I am new to the whole toilet with black tank issue as well. So I am not the most knowledgeable person.

I thought the city water line pressurized the toilet and provided water. I do not think it runs off a storage tank unless your boon docking and using your pump.

Ah. A pop up. Now we may be talking.

If you have a cassette toilet made by Thetford, then the water tank is right under the toilet seat area and the sunken toilet paper holder. You need to access the fill outside the pop up.

Go outside to the area where the toilet is inside. There will be a locked door. Open that and you will see a yellow cap towards the top of the opening. Grap that and gently swing it out. Open it up and pour in a mixture of water and sewer treatment (blue stuff, Orange stuff, etc). It should hold about 3 gallons. Just use a normal milk jug to transport water from the sink.

Piece of cake.

hahaha. Oh boy. too much wine.

Ok. If you look to the side of the opening (It was left on my unit but could be the right hand side as well). You will see a clear tube used as a level sight to tell you how much water you have in the holding tank. You want to pull it off the side wall. It is just pressed into place. It is connected to a rubber hose that will allow you to tilt it down to drain it out. I drained mine back into a jug to save for next season since it held the treatment (blue stuff). You can also unscrew the small yellow cap below the large yellow one that you open to fill it up.
