water tank location on 2003 cardnial

I bought used 03 cardinal 29' 5th wheel how do I locate the water tank I tried to put water in the fill opening and it is running out the bottom of the belly pan ,I checked the hose fitting which is located behind the electric converter and it is not leaking there. why in the world would they locate the water supply that close to the electric supply . kinda stupid if water line breaks and gets into the converter . how can that be to any code ?
thanks for any help

I do not have your year of cardinal, but will give it a try. My fresh water tank is in the rear of the unit. Most times the fresh water tank will be right below or very close to the water fill hole. If your hose connection and tank fill hole are in the same location, then the tank is most likely right there. It sounds to me you are going to have to take off the "belly pan" to really see where your fresh water goes. In my cardinal the as i said my tank is in the rear as is the fill connections. The water pump and filter are all in the front, thus the water be it from either direct hose connection or tank have to travel from rear to front. You may have a bad connection somewhere in the line.

Thanks, I will go with that info. It looks like it is in the same location as yours. Hope it is just a loose fitting. As soon as it quits raining here I'll get under the trailer and start taking the belly pan off .

Thanks again
Rick
