Are you using a food grade water hose or a regular rubber garden hose?
Also try putting a carbon filter in your filter housing.

No idea, but we opted for a Berkey Water filter. Previously, I didn't trust campground water and we would buy 10-12 gallons of water a week. Now we filter it ourselves and it's crisp and clean.
