Water TOO Hot - Atwood Water Heater
On our most recent trip to Raystown Lake, DW complained about the hot water being too hot. I told her I would check it out.
I opened the door outside of the RV and I'll be darned if I could see any type of thermostat to regulate the water at the tap.
I have run a search but have not come up with anything remotely similar to this issue. If it has been discussed before, could someone point me to the thread?

I'm not trying to be a wise guy here. Wondering what your owners manual has to say about it. If you don't have the manual, most of the time you can find it on-line to read or download. Good luck.

Internet search for Atwood Water heater manual MPD 93756 and see if that suits.

Atwood 93105 Adjustable Electronic Thermostat
This worked for us. Had to use some silicon heat conductive paste between tank and sensor to get good contact. They should include a small tube with the thermostat. I now have a lifetime supply.

No, you raise a good point. I do look at the owner's manual and do some research on my own. But you know what? Some of the best darned ideas come from the members of the forum. Never thought about the t-stat replacement until I watched the video kendive posted. Didn't know there was such an animal as an adjustable t-stat until I read drelec's post.

Atwood 93105 Adjustable Electronic Thermostat
Just a heads up on installing the variable thermostat, you have to bend the metal tabs that hold the original thermostat so its not easy to go back to the stock 140F thermostat. The metal hold down clip is a pain to get hooked in place. The adjustable thermostat only has letters for temperature setting, A B C D E. I think we ended up at B for 120F at the faucet.

Same problem here. I have a question about another use for the wh bypass valve. We are concerned with our toddler grandchildren being burned by the super hot water in our Sunseeker. Any reason we can't or shouldn't crack this valve open a little to blend cold into the hot supply lines to a safe temperature? I had ordered a Sloan blend valve to do this but when I pulled the wood panel off to look at plumbing the valve in I see this diverter valve and thought "hey, why not"?

Hot water is no longer too hot by placing bypass valve partially open.
