water tooo hot!

DW and I are camping with our two little boys. We went to use the hot water to wash our hands and it is way too hot. I have it on electric right now. Any way to adjust the temp. Don't want to risk having the little guys get burned. Or is it not meant to be left on? First time campers.

There is no adjustment to my knowledge. The thermostat should control temp while leaving it on. We leave ours on and the water does get very hot.

keep the little one away from the hot water, no other choice. since the tank is so small the mfg's want it hot to last.

If you have winterization valves to bypass your hot water tank, you can partially open it to allow cold water to be drawn in when you run the hot. I am doing it for the first time on this trip and it mostly helps. There've been a few quirks here and there, but mostly good and I'll definitely continue to do so.
