Water Volume In Cherokee

Maybe someone can shed a little light on this for me.

I replaced my stock water pump in my o4 Cherokee with a Surflo Extreme 5.5 gpm unit with the expectation of getting better water flow especially through the shower. It didn't work. I also noticed that when I hook it up to my home suppply in the driveway I still get a much reduced flow rate than I should. Why is this happening? Can anyone tell me if these trailers come with a flow restriction or some form of pressure reduction valve that will limit water volume from the taps?
I know the flow rate comming into the trailer is far more than what we are getting out of the taps, shower, sinks, and toilet.

Thanks

Jim

Do you have a water filter that could be restricting the flow?

As mentioned, the water filter is a big restriction. All the users (faucets, shower, etc) have restrictors in them. I removed all the restrictors and the filter and now hove much greater flow everywhere.

The water filter has been bypassed since day 1. The shower nozzel I don't believe has a restrictor in it as the head is one of thes ajustable types that you can turn. Anyone know of a inline regulator or something of this nature that would cause this?

The restrictor in the shower (on ours anyway) was not in the head it was in the outlet of the mixing valve. It was molded in and I drilled it out. The restrictors in the faucets are usually in the aerator most times it's a thin plate with a small hole in it. You can drill it out or just remove it completely.
