Waterhose!

Alright gang, from reading many threads on here I can tell we have some clever and smart campers. I was just starting to reload our camper that we FINALLY got back after a 2 month debacle at the dealer/factory. Anywho, I'm sick of always struggling with the 50ft water hose I have. It's new and it has 0 memory. The freakin think just will not roll up nice and neat. Any of you have any ideas on a roller system or some other way to store it unroll roll yada yada yada???

We carry about 250 ft of hose and believe it or not we have used all of it at a few campgrounds. We struggled with different ideas and wound up buying a regular garden hose reel that rides inside the trailer. Done this for about a year and has worked great for us. Bought a grill cover to throw over it outside to keep it dry and clean.

I saw a hose on tv that goes flat when the pressure is released. It has two stiff ribs with soft sides that collapse. looks like it would roll up real easy.
There is also that silly hose that shrinks that you see all the time on tv, but I think it wouldn't last. Probably just surgical tubing in a sock.

The new cloth reinforced flat Handi-hose from Camping world is the cat's meow.

Handi-Hose 50' - American Specialty MRT-50 - Hoses, Reels & Fittings - Camping World

We have two 10 foot sections that fit in 1 gallon ziploc bags and the 25 foot section that fits on a rollup that forces the water out as you roll it up.

Looks like I'll have another purchase to make. Already have 160' of white hose, but four reals of that seen to make sense. Thanks!

Have used these for years! I carry a 25' standard hose for general connections and use the reels for extended reach.

I see mixed reviews on the hose and reel but I generally trust info i get here, we camp alot and I am concerned about the life of the hose compared to the white hose how much abuse can they take?

On my previous camper, I had 2 reels that we used at a state park all the time. I was 90' from a water spigot that was across the drive, filled my water tank all the time while cars would drive over it. Never hurt it a bit. I don't use mine for full hook ups, but rather when I need that extra reach to fill my tank.

White Hose

We usually carry two of the 50' white hose made just for camping, any also use a water filter before entering the coach. So far, that is all the hose we have needed. Each time we use the hose, it is rolled back up with tie wraps to hold it in place. They are also carried hanging from the cargo rack walls on trips.

I used them three times now. two for a week at a time and another for two weeks (4 weeks camping in full hook ups total). Still look brand new.

We got a 25 ft. And a 50 ft. Handy hose. Only thing negative is you have to move them around a bit to get the kinks out. Other than that, I would not go back to the regular white hose!

That is why I did not get a 50 foot one. I would rather have several 10 foot ones so I can custom run just what is needed for the site.

Herk, did you make your own 10' sections? Did a quick google search and can only find these in 25' and 50'.

is that stuff rated for contiuous pressure? I used to carry some in the boat and I thought it cautioned against leaving it pressurized for long periods of time. maybe I thinking of something else.

I got the 10 footers off the wall display at Camping World in Cocoa, Florida.

http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...y-hose-10/8203

They call the 10 foot one a "Utility Hose"

Awesome. Thanks Herk! We're headed to camping world today to get some supplies and plan on picking up a couple of ten footers and the 25'. We're looking to downsize our hose bins.
