Well, It Got ME!
Here i was so happy, after the last freeze we have a descent weekend and we decided to come to Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, LA (suburb of New Orleans)
We set up and everything was going well until I noticed water on the bathroom floor. Hurriedly sopping it up and looking for the leak at the same time I was baffled. DW found it when I went for more towels. The Toilet Flush Valve.
I had blown the entire system free of water using air and even the toilet. Obviously not enough. Fortunately there was an RV Dealer/Parts supply close by, Bent's RV in Boutte, LA who had just what I needed. $59 later DW has a toilet that works without spraying water up her backside. Life is good again!
Will have to remember to unscrew the water line from now on.

You know, I did that this year (unscrewed the valve) because I'd lost mine TWICE on the previous camper. I thought I was smart.
THEN when I went to put in the antifreeze, I slapped my head. Duh! I can't pump in antifreeze through a line that is disconnected. It'd go all over the bathroom floor. So, I connected it back.
BUT, I have a spare valve, and am quite proficient at putting it in. I'm a bit east of you, come on over and I'll give it to you! LOL

Heh, went through 2 of these - 1 each after my first 2 winters. I now carry a plug for the toilet water line so if the toilet leaks, I can have water everywhere else in the camper until I run for 1. 
Fortunately, it’s an easy replacement.

Yep I do both, but we see -40 so it's a no-brainer.

Yeah, really.
First time winterizing myself. I blew the lines out. THEN I added antifreeze. The amount of water in a lot of lines after blowing them out was amazing.
Now, after snowbirding (!!!), here I sit with water FINALLY hooked up and danged if another FULL WEEK of subfreezing temps is not supposed to hit! Next year, I am moving further south.

And that's how I ended up in Venice, FL for Christmas.
We were supposed to be in New Orleans and slowly make our way across the panhandle during the first 2 weeks of January. Instead, we dropped like 4 reservations and ran for southwestern Florida.

Uh oh. I never thought about that. Never had a problem with my old TT, but this is the first really hard freeze since I bought the "new" 5th wheel (7 years ago!). I planned on hooking up the water before I went anywhere anyway. Now I will for sure.

When I winterized I flushed the toilet several times to dump some antifreeze into the empty black tank (valve). Now I think I might keep an extra flush valve on hand just in case. Can't hurt.

Do it right and you should not have problems. I've always blow lines and then suck a bunch of antifreeze through all lines and especially the toilet. Never had problems. Later RJD

Not against antifreeze, just don't use it in the water lines. Have used air since 2010 in different units, have not had any issues. But I do carry an extra, did have an o ring go bad once.

I don't understand why one should not pump the pink stuff through all the lines. It gets in all the lines, the water pump and the toilet. Plus it puts it in all the drain traps. Be sure to bypass the water heater.
When it comes time to dewinterize just run LOTS of fresh water through all the lines. Been doing it for years and never an issue.

I do not blow out lines with air I just pump the AF thru out, AF pushes all water out.

You are correct... eventually it does.
But, it takes way less antifreeze if you blow out first.
If blown out first, when the pink starts to flow from the faucet it's not a diluted mix of water & antifreeze.
