where does the shower

Water go? I have 2010 Rockwood Signature ultralite 8319SS which tank does the shower really goes to? I was told the black tank but I'm hoping the dealer meant the gray tank

Some showers do empty into the black water tank. An easy way to find out empty your gray water tank. Dump several gal. of water down the shower the dump gray tank again. If the water does not come out them you know that the shower dumps to BW tank.

The gray tank always fills faster than the black if all of the kitchen and bathroom gray water flows into the gray tank. So, I kinda like the setups where some gray water flows into the black tank. Especially if the two tanks are similarly sized.

Of course, it would be even better if the gray tank was twice the size of the black. Then there would be no need to run any gray to black. Unfortunately, I don't think that is very common.

I would rather dump the grey tank with the tote than the blank tank so if the shower is going to the black it's going fill faster and I'm going have to dump with the tote on a long stay at a campground

We've seen reports over the years of units in the exact same model-year having different plumbing. Your best bet is to have someone pour a gallon or two of water into the empty tanks, so that you can listen underneath to figure out which one is filling. Hopefully, for you, it's the gray. We can go 6 or 7 days without dumping black, but gray fills every other day, mostly because we both like our mornning shower. In order to extend gray tank life, when boondocking, we do dishes in a dishpan, then dump it into the toilet.
