where is the 'city water check valve'
Where is and or how do you know if you have a city water check valve!
I blew my lines out and pinked all the drains and drained all the tanks.
I've looked but I don't see a check valve button and honestly if I blew the lines out with air and didn't pink the lines does it really matter?

Usually its part of the city water hose connector on the side of the MH. You can see it by removing the inlet screen. Below that is the stem of the valve with a light spring to keep it closed. Can be a screwed or glued fitting just inboard, but all the units I've had was this setup. FR, Coachmen, Gulfstream and Coleman.

The city water check valve is right at the connection, and is part of the connection assembly.

Here a typical valve, part disassembled. the gasket and screen are one piece, this style screws to RV side.

I was on a keyboard !!
I had to replace my assembly a couple of years ago. I got the great idea to get antifreeze into that section of pipe, that I would "trip" the check valve while the water pump was on. The check valve broke.  I had to put a cap on the line to finish up my winterizing.

So if I don't pink my pressure lines is there really any reason to worry about hitting the check valve- or do I need to hit it to relieve the suction possibly?

Not really, it drains inside or outside and is just a short spool itself.
Mine froze one time in Richmond Va at a campground. Sudden drop overnight temp. Froze hose and valve. Managed to get hose off but ice stuck the check valve, to run pump I looked like a fireturck outside! Finally used DW hairdryer and thawed it out so I could use water. Thats how I learned "how it worked"!
