Why ABS?

Anyone know why rv’s are plumbed with black ABS drain pipes instead of white PVC used in house plumbing?

Not as brittle with constant temp fluctuations and vibrations. Guessing cause I have seen the other shatter in cold weather.

All of my house waste/drain plumbing is in black ABS. Fresh water is either copper or pvc.
